The main types of Shadbolt door are ENcore and Shadmaster. Both can be supplied as door leaves only or as doorsets, and as fire doors providing up to 60 minutes fire resistance.

 

For greater fire resistance, high performance Shadbolt FD90 and FD120 fire doorsets are available.

 

Shadmaster FD90 and FD120 fire doors meet the requirements for exceptional sizes and a greater range of configurations.

 

It is strongly recommended that the same door construction is specified throughout a project.

 

ENcore doors and doorsets

Shadbolt ENcore doors provide fire performance up to 60 minutes within an extensive size envelope. They also offer an excellent surface for veneering, and good mechanical and acoustic performance. 

 

Shadbolt FD90 and FD120 are high performance internal flush doorsets providing 90 minutes or 120 minutes fire resistance, fully tested and certificated. They are supplied as factory-assembled doorsets only, to ensure fire performance.

 

Shadmaster doors and doorsets

Shadmaster doors have a laminboard core construction and may be used where exceptionally large sizes or greater fire resistance (up to 120 minutes) are required.

They also offer an excellent surface for veneering, and good mechanical and acoustic performance.

 

Shadbolt acoustic doors comprise standard doors fitted with acoustic perimeter seals, and provide sufficient sound insulation (up to 35dB SRI Rw) for the majority of applications. they can combine 30 or 60 minutes fire resistance with sound insulation, and provide the same high quality of appearance and mechanical performance as all Shadbolt doors.

 

Shadbolt high-performance acoustic doors are specialist assemblies offering a higher level of sound insulation (up to 44dB SRI Rw) where required, eg in top-level offices, auditoriums and plant rooms. They can also provide 30 or 60 minutes fire resistance, and the same high quality of appearance and mechanical performance as all Shadbolt doors.

 

With revised Building Regulations Part M and the Disability Discrimination Act requiring improved accessibility to both new and existing buildings, wider doorways are increasingly necessary, often with vision panels. We can generally supply these wider doors with vision panels, without compromising performance.

Shadbolt panelled doors and doorsets are ideal for new buildings where quality of appearance and high performance are important. They are also invaluable for refurbishment of historic buildings, where they are sympathetic to existing materials whilst achieving modern performance standards.

 

These combine a traditional panelled appearance with modern construction and materials. They are designed to enhance high quality residential interiors and can be used throughout the home - living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. They are also ideal for hotels.
