Originally built in the 1930’s, the office building at 30 Cleveland Street in Fitzrovia, London has recently been expanded and comprehensively refurbished to now provide 38,938 sq ft of CAT A office space over seven floors.
The development has been overseen by Barr Gazetas, who have taken a respectful approach to the existing building, enhancing it through the addition of rear and rooftop extensions which has increased the office space by 1,830 sq ft. Terraces have also been added to the building on the 4th and 5th floors and a rooftop terrace on the 6th floor has uninterrupted views across Central London.
The building has been has been renovated through the restoration of the historic Art Deco facades and the use of 284 Crittall style glazed bays. The new reception references the building’s Art Deco heritage with a timeless material palette using geometrical elements broken up by streamlined curves. Internally, the space is defined by exposed dark grey steelwork with a central raft composed of white metal rods. With timeless finishes and premium restorations to the architecture, 30 Cleveland Street offers an exceptional workspace.
