55 Wells Street

LONDON

Formerly the site of the 1960s built Tasman House office building, the development at 55 Wells Street in Fitzrovia provides a new six storey building incorporating ground floor retail and restaurant space with six floors of Grade A office accommodation above.

Designed by Buckley Grey Yeoman, the project replaced the dilapidated existing building, increasing the available space on site from 36,000 sq ft to 50,000 sq ft. The design of the build incorporates a mixture of high-quality stone and masonry to create an elegant and well proportioned facade.

Benefiting from a mature green wall with communal roof terrace, 55 Wells Street has 38 bicycle spaces with lockers, changing and shower facilities at lower ground. The completed scheme has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Shadbolt were asked to help on the project, manufacturing and supplying bespoke FSC® certified veneered Shadmaster FD30 and FD60 fire performance veneered doorsets, toilet cubicle fronts and associated washroom panelling. RAL 9016 “Traffic White” laminated and factory primed doors and hardwood framesets were also supplied.
