Designed by PLP Architecture, 66 Chiltern Place is a new 15-storey residential building incorporating 55 luxury apartments, retail facilities and a new townhouse near Marylebone High Street, London.

Replacing International House, the former 12-storey office building on the site which was constructed in the 1960s, the new development includes amenities such as a gym, private cinema, two meeting rooms, lounge/ library with a bar (non-serviced) and a 24hr concierge.

The sustainable, low-energy design strategy and thermally-efficient envelope includes the detailed coordination of the structure and building services, photovoltaic panels on the roof and the integration of a UKPN substation.

Shadbolt were asked to assist with the project by manufacturing and supplying bespoke FSC® certified crown cut European oak veneered FD30 fire performance and PAS 24 certified doors and doorsets. These were prepared to a carefully selected plank effect and white washed to a dead matt finish. Integrally matched crown cut American black walnut veneered panelling and doors were also supplied.
