The stunning design of this building (by Herzog and de Meuron) is based on a series of shuffled and offset discs, with the floors overhanging each other; The School is to provide ‘a centre of excellence for future political leaders’ and the Architect has cleverly incorporated a central ‘hub’ which connects all parts of the building to reflect this vision.

Shadbolt manufactured bespoke quarter cut European Oak veneered doorsets and screens for the interior.

Opened in the autumn of 2015, the building is constructed from mainly concrete and glass. Its impact on Oxford City’s landscape has been as great as the School’s anticipated impact will be on our political future.
