The Copyright Building is a brand new development replacing three existing buildings, including Seifert & Partners Copyright House built in 1958, with a new building comprising 85,000 sq ft of offices and 20,000 sq ft of retail/restaurant.

The distinctive new building provides a restaurant and a gallery at ground level, vastly improving the streetscape on both elevations of the building. The remainder of the building consists of 7 floors of Category A office space and 2 floors of roof terraces, which form the new London base for Capita.

The building has been built using sustainable approaches throughout, targeting the BREEAM excellent environmental standard, including installing solar panels on the building’s green roof.

Designed to the highest standard to celebrate the local area’s recognition as a centre of excellence and craftsmanship, Piercy&Company carefully chose a palette of the finest materials for the interior of the building. Shadbolt assisted this phase of the project by manufacturing and supplying doors, doorsets and cubicle fronts to the project.

Bespoke crown cut FSC® certified European oak veneered fire and high acoustic performance (42dB) doors and doorsets were created for the project. All veneered doorsets were subtly stained with a light wash finish to match an approved pattern. Matching crown cut European oak stain finished veneered washroom cubicle fronts and factory primed doors and framesets were also supplied.
